Mise — Terms of Use
Effective date: June 12, 2026 · Last updated: June 12, 2026
Welcome to Mise — a calm, frictionless thinking space for your mind. These Terms of Use (“Terms”) are the agreement between you and Taha Valikhani, an individual based in France (“Mise,” “we,” “us”), governing your use of the Mise app, website, Telegram bot, and related services (together, the “Service”).
By creating an account or using Mise, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the Service.
1. Who can use Mise
You must be at least 16 years old and able to enter into a binding contract. By using Mise, you confirm both.
2. Your account
You’re responsible for keeping your login credentials safe and for everything that happens under your account. Tell us right away at tahavalikhani2010@gmail.com if you suspect unauthorized access. Provide accurate information when you sign up, and keep it up to date.
3. What Mise does
Mise lets you capture thoughts — notes, tasks, ideas, reminders — and organizes them automatically using AI, including Weaver, an AI companion that remembers context across your conversations. Mise can connect with Google Calendar and Telegram if you choose. We’re always improving Mise, which means features may be added, changed, or removed over time.
4. Your content is yours
- You own everything you capture in Mise. Your notes, tasks, ideas, and conversations remain yours, in every language you write them.
- To run the Service, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive, worldwide license to store, process, display, and transmit your content — solely to provide and maintain Mise’s features for you (for example, saving your notes, classifying them with AI, syncing reminders to your calendar). This license ends when you delete your content or account, except for the brief retention period described in our Privacy Policy.
- We never use your content to train AI models, and we never sell it. Full stop.
You’re responsible for what you put into Mise. Don’t capture content you don’t have the right to store, or content that’s illegal.
5. About the AI
Mise uses third-party AI models (currently Google’s Gemini) to understand and organize your thoughts and to power Weaver. AI is helpful but imperfect:
- AI may occasionally misclassify, misunderstand, or generate inaccurate content. Review anything important — especially dates, reminders, and Weaver’s suggestions.
- Weaver’s responses are not professional advice (medical, legal, financial, or otherwise). For decisions that matter, consult a qualified human.
- We may change AI providers over time. Our commitment that your content is never used for training does not change.
6. Acceptable use
Keep Mise calm for everyone. You agree not to:
- Use the Service for anything illegal, or to store or transmit unlawful content;
- Attempt to hack, probe, overload, or disrupt the Service or its infrastructure;
- Reverse-engineer, scrape, or copy the Service, or use it to build a competing product;
- Abuse the AI features to generate harmful, infringing, or deceptive content;
- Resell or provide access to the Service without our permission;
- Impersonate others or misrepresent your identity.
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules, after warning you where reasonable.
7. Free trial, subscriptions & payment
- Free trial. New users get 3 days of Mise completely free — no card, no payment information collected. Nothing is charged automatically when the trial ends; Mise simply asks you to choose a plan if you’d like to continue.
- Subscriptions. After the trial, continued use requires a paid subscription. Plans are billed monthly and renew automatically until you cancel. Prices and plan options are shown in the app before you pay and may change for future billing periods — we’ll notify you before any price change affects you.
- Cancellation. Cancel anytime from your account settings or your payment provider. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, and you keep access until then.
- Payments are handled by a third-party payment provider; their terms apply to the payment transaction itself.
8. Your 14-day right of withdrawal (refunds)
If you’re a consumer, you may withdraw from your subscription within 14 days of your first purchase, for any reason, and receive a full refund — even if you’ve already started using the Service. To exercise this right, email tahavalikhani2010@gmail.com within the 14-day window with a clear statement that you wish to withdraw. We’ll refund you using your original payment method within 14 days of your request.
This goes beyond what EU law requires of digital services — because changing your mind should be frictionless too.
9. Our intellectual property
Mise’s software, design, name, logo, brand, and everything that isn’t your content belong to us or our licensors. These Terms give you a personal, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Service — nothing more. Please don’t copy, modify, or redistribute the Service.
10. Third-party services
Mise connects with services like Google Calendar, Telegram, and a payment provider. Those services have their own terms and privacy policies, and we’re not responsible for them. Connecting them is always your choice.
11. Service availability & changes
We work to keep Mise available and reliable, but we can’t promise uninterrupted, error-free service. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue parts of the Service. If we ever discontinue Mise entirely or make a change that materially reduces what you’ve paid for, we’ll give you reasonable advance notice and a pro-rated refund for any unused, prepaid period.
12. Termination
- By you: delete your account anytime, in-app. Your data is handled as described in the Privacy Policy (fully deleted within 30 days).
- By us: we may suspend or terminate your account if you materially breach these Terms, with notice and a chance to respond where reasonable, or immediately for serious violations (such as illegal activity or attacks on the Service).
Sections that by their nature should survive termination (such as ownership, disclaimers, liability limits, and governing law) survive.
13. Disclaimers
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available.” To the extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties not expressly stated in these Terms, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that AI outputs will be accurate or that the Service will meet all your needs.
Nothing in these Terms limits any warranty or guarantee that applies to you as a consumer under mandatory law — including the legal guarantee of conformity for digital content and services under French and EU consumer law.
14. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law:
- We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of the Service.
- Our total liability for all claims related to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim (or €50 if you’ve paid nothing).
Exceptions: nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability for gross negligence, willful misconduct, death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or any liability that cannot be limited under French or EU consumer law. We recommend keeping copies of anything truly irreplaceable — Mise is a second mind, not your only one.
15. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. For material changes, we’ll notify you in the app or by email at least 30 days before they take effect. If you don’t agree with a change, you may stop using the Service and cancel before it takes effect; continued use after that date means you accept the updated Terms.
16. Governing law & disputes
These Terms are governed by French law. Disputes will be brought before the competent French courts — but if you are a consumer residing in the EU, you keep any mandatory protections of your home country’s law and the right to bring proceedings in your local courts.
Before going to court, we’d genuinely rather talk: write to tahavalikhani2010@gmail.com and we’ll try to resolve things directly. Consumers in France also have the right to use a consumer mediation service (médiateur de la consommation) free of charge.
17. General
If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the rest remain in effect. Our failure to enforce a provision isn’t a waiver. You may not transfer your rights under these Terms without our consent; we may transfer ours in connection with a transfer of the Service, with notice to you. These Terms and the Privacy Policy are the entire agreement between us regarding the Service.
